Emmanuel SaujetChief Executive Officer, International Cosmetics & Perfumes
Emmanuel Saujet is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of International Cosmetics & Perfumes, Inc. (ICP), an exclusive creator, marketer and distributor of luxury fragrance and skincare brands. In his role, he heads business development in the Americas for the company's four prestigious brands: Hanae Mori, The House of Creed, Carven and Beauty by Clinica Ivo Pitanguy.
Boasting over twenty years of experience in the beauty industry – all of which with ICP, Emmanuel, alongside his brother Thomas, has strategically taken each brand to new heights, positioning them for faster expansion through ICP's dynamic retail partners and at the forefront of developing ICP into a leading industry firm.
His passion for luxury and keen business sense was ignited by his father early in his career. Drawing from that inspiration, Emmanuel's vision for a family venture in North America was born. In partnership with his father, he embarked on a journey full of risks that would defy retail odds at a time when the industry was fueled by beauty giants. Through persistence and strategic foresight, he humbly grew the business by developing the beloved Hanae Mori brand from a one man operation to the thriving company ICP is today.
Emmanuel's accomplishments include driving The House of Creed as the number one beauty brand across all categories at Neiman Marcus and successfully introducing Beauty by Clinica Ivo Pitanguy to Neiman Marcus and high-end spas in North America. In 2011, Emmanuel harnessed the growth potential and expansion of ICP into South America, a key emerging market. He has also led the development and implementation of brand-building strategies that have fueled the company's robust fragrance portfolio.
His leadership style is based on his commitment to innovation and developing talent. His dedication and personal involvement on the frontlines at counter earned him not only the respect in the hearts and minds of the most influential retailers, but also the trust of the devoted ICP sales force. Emmanuel's management philosophy is clear – it's not about how successful the company becomes, but how many people become successful within the company.
Emmanuel has appeared on CNBC, Bloomberg TV and in numerous trade and business publications. TIME Magazine named him one of its "People to Watch in International Business". He received his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and a MBA from Stern Business School at New York University. Emmanuel is a member of the Economic Club of New York, the French American Chamber of Commerce and the Young Presidents' Organization.
Still a privately held company today, ICP continues to make an indelible mark on the marketplace typically fueled by multi-billion dollar companies. ICP's differentiator within the industry is built on Emmanuel's French luxury principals marketed with American innovation. The company's continuous exploration of dynamic brand partnerships fuels the vitality and energy of the firm.
